Remaining tape duration function
When pressing the buttons shown in the table
below, each mode can be seen displayed on
the TV screen for about 2 seconds.

By pressing the DISPLAY button, the
programme position number, the current
dayhime and the remaining tape duration can
be displayed, as shown. The remaining tape
duration is only displayed when the remaining
duration has already been calculated for the
loaded tape. Refer to "Remaining
tape
duration
function".

To cancel the function display, press the
DISPLAY button one more time.
Press the REMAIN button during playback or
recording.
The remaining tape duration (in hours and
minutes, from the current position to the
end of the tape) will be displayed on-screen
for about 3 seconds.

When the remaining duration has already
been calculated for the loaded tape, it can
also be displayed from the stop mode
Notes:
The remaining tape duration function will
only display an accurate duration when
using E-1 80 or E-240 cassette tapes.
Wait from 20 to 30 seconds after the start
of playback or recording before pressing
the REMAIN button.
This is essential to calculate the remaining
tape duration.
The remaining tape duration calculations
are cancelled when the tape is ejected.
