DRIVING
• The indicator in the switch goes off.
• The Parking Brake and Brake System indicator (red) goes off.
Brake Assist System
n
During hard or emergency braking, the system increases braking force. The
brake pedal may move slightly or make a noise; this is normal. Continue to
hold the brake pedal firmly down.
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
n
During hard or emergency braking, the system rapidly pumps the brakes to
prevent wheel lockup and help you maintain steering control. Do not
pump the brake pedal, rather continue to hold it firmly down.
When ABS activates, you may notice vibrations through the brake pedal or
the vehicle body, the brake pedal depressing further than usual, or hear a
motor noise from the engine compartment. These are all normal.
The ABS may not function correctly if you use an incorrect tire type and
size.

Integrated Dynamics System

Modifies the dynamic character of the vehicle. There are four modes to select
from: Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Snow. Turn the Dynamic Mode switch to
select a mode. The mode you have selected appears on the multi-information
display.

Sport+: Adds to Sport to allow for increased performance by enhancing
throttle response and changing the shift map.
Sport: Enhances vehicle response feel through decreased steering assist and
heightened throttle response.
Comfort: Maximizes driver comfort through increased steering assist.
Snow: Use when driving on snowy road surfaces.

Turbo Meter

When the turbo charger is producing
boost, this meter on the instrument panel
shows the boost pressure.

Vehicle Stability Assist
(VSA
Helps to stabilize the vehicle during
cornering if the vehicle turns more or less
than what was intended. It assists in
maintaining traction on slippery surfaces
by regulating engine output and
selectively applying the brakes. VSA is also
known as Electronic Stability Control
(ESC).
Turning VSA On or Off
n
VSA is turned on every time you turn
on the vehicle, even if you previously
turned it off. If you turn VSA off, your
vehicle has normal braking and
cornering ability, but not VSA traction
and stability enhancement. To partially
®
disable VSA
functionality/features,
press and hold it until you hear a beep.
Your vehicle will have normal braking
and cornering ability, but traction
control function will be less effective.
