• First Time Use

• Follow instructions for "Setting Up the Kettle".
• Press ON/OFF button (illustration 1).
• Bring water to a boil.
• Brew at the maximum temperature and for the maximum pump
functioning time (press PUMP button repeatedly until the display
reads 8:00) (illustration 2).
• Empty the kettle (illustration 3) and allow the appliance to cool
down for 1 minute.
• Repeat twice before initial use.
• Setting the Temperature
(Refer to owner's manual for detailed temperature setting
instructions.)
• Press the °F / °C button to choose either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
• Press the TEMPERATURE SETTING button to choose a preset
temperature.
• Press the [ + ] button to increase the temperature by one degree.
• Press the [ - ] button to decrease the temperature by one degree.
• The temperature displayed on the screen will be stored after three
seconds.
• During the heating cycle, the LCD will display the current water
temperature.
WARNING:
Never set the temperature above the boiling point.
Refer to the "High Altitude Users" section in the owner's manual to
determine the boiling temperature for your altitude.

• Set the base on a flat, steady surface and plug cord into a grounded
wall outlet.
• Remove the kettle from the base.
• Turn the lid clockwise to unlock (illustration 1).
• Remove filter basket and metal filter.
• Fill the kettle with cold water (illustration 2).
IMPORTANT! Do not fill above the "max" fill line (1.2L) or below
the "min" fill line (0.6L).
• Replace metal filter and filter basket (filter basket is optional).
• Return kettle to base.
• Replace lid and turn counterclockwise to lock (illustration 3).
• Preparing Tea
• Remove the kettle from the base.
• Turn the lid clockwise to unlock.
• Remove filter basket and metal filter.
• Fill the kettle with cold water.
• Replace metal filter and filter basket.
NOTE: The metal filter is only necessary if preparing loose
botanicals.
• Add loose botanicals to filter basket or tea bags to metal filter
(user preference).
• Replace lid and turn counterclockwise to lock.
• Follow instructions below to set temperature and pump time.

OFF
• To begin the heating process, press the ON/OFF button.
• To stop the heating process, press the ON/OFF button or remove
the kettle from the base.
• To resume heating, return kettle to base and press the
ON/OFF button.
• When the set temperature is reached, three audible beeps
are emitted.
• Once the temperature is set, it will be stored in the memory and
will be recalled the next time the kettle is turned on.
