7.6.16 Inverter Radiation Fin Temperature Rise

Fin temperature is detected by the thermistor of the radiation fin.
Method of Error
Detection
When the temperature of the inverter radiation fin increases 90°C or more.
Error Decision
Conditions
 Actuation of radiation fin thermal (Actuates 90°C or more)
Supposed
 Defective inverter PCB
Causes
 Defective radiation fin thermistor
 Air throughput insufficient (contaminated condenser)
Troubleshooting

Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting
connectors, or parts may be damaged.
Caution
The radiation fin
temp. rises to over
93°C.

Turn OFF the power supply, and then
make measurement of resistance of the
radiation fin thermistor.
Is the resistance of
the thermistor
normal?
YES
Connect and disconnect the
radiation fin thermistor connector
(X111A) to properly connect it.
Turn ON the power
supply to start operation,
and then check whether
the error recurs.
NO
(Reference) Reset temperatures
• Not more than 79°C for a period of one minute

Defective radiation of power unit
• Blocked air inlet
• Dirty radiation fin
• High outdoor air temperature
Replace the thermistor.
Replace the inverter PCB.
Continue the operation.
 The radiation fin temperature
can have risen due to field
factors. In this case, check for
the following:
• Whether the radiation fin gets
stained.
• Whether airflow is interrupted
(due to dust or foreign matters)
or the fan propeller gets
damaged.
• Whether the outdoor air
temperature is too high.
