The specifications apply to a rated voltage [U] of 230 V. These specifications may vary at different voltages and in country-specific models.
Assembly
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Auxiliary Handle
Do not operate your power tool without the auxiliary
u
handle (2).
Screw the auxiliary handle (2) into the thread (9) on the ma-
chine head.
Changing the tool
Drilling tools with an MT2 Morse taper can be inserted dir-
ectly in the tool holder (4). For drills with an MT1 Morse
taper, use the reducing sleeve (11). Ensure that the Morse
taper and Morse cone are free of grease.
Drilling tools with cylindrical shafts can be inserted with the
keyed chuck (13). To do this, place the taper mandrel (12)
in the tool holder (4), then screw in and tighten the keyed
chuck (13).
Do not use force to insert the Morse taper/taper man-
u
drel. Excessive force could damage the tool holder and
the inserted tool.
Before removing the inserted tool, unscrew the auxiliary
handle (2).
Place the drill drift (10) in the opening (3), so that the roun-
ded side faces the pressure plate (1).
If the drill drift (10) will not go through the drive spindle,
turn the application tool slightly.

Dust/Chip Extraction
Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some
wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to one's
health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause allergic
reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or
bystanders.
Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered carci-
nogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment ad-
ditives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials containing
asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the ma-
terials to be worked.
Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
u
easily ignite.
Operation
Starting Operation
Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
u
power source must match the voltage specified on the
rating plate of the power tool. Power tools marked
with 230 V can also be operated with 220 V.
