Upgrade steps
1. Call Nortel Networks technical
support to find out how to receive
an upgrade.
• On Option 51C CP2
systems, a DRAM upgrade
from 16 to 32 Meg is
required.
• An upgrade from MAT 6.5
is required.
2. Determine M3900 PSWV to
install (see Table 18 on page 136).
Note: Select PSWV #5 (Release 1
firmware for X11 Release 24; second
PCMCIA card is needed) only if the
customer is just running the Release 24
M3900 features.
3. Download software from the web
with the appropriate PSWV
language file.
4. Follow the PSDL Installation
Procedure (see "PSDL Installation
Procedure" on page 142) to install
software with the selected M3900
PSWV file.
5. Install the manufactured patch.
6. Download firmware to the
telephones, following the Flash
Download procedure.
