    If your TV has a single monaural audio input instead of a pair of stereo inputs, you need to use a “Y” cable adapter to connect the two output channels of the RDV-985 to the single input. You can improve the sound quality of the system by connecting the audio outputs to a separate hi-fi audio system.

    If the “DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT” is not set correctly, loud noise may be generated from speakers, possibly damaging them. Before using the RDV-985 in a 5.1 channel system, be sure the proper type of Digital Audio Output has been selected. Use the following procedure.
