they will be saved even when the power is turned off. You do
not need to redo these settings each time you play.
* If you are using the VG-88 with a guitar other than the one
you used previously, go to Step 3 and select the appropriate
driver setting A–E for the guitar you are currently using.
Then press [PLAY] to return to Play page.
■ Matching the phase of the GK
pickup and the guitar pickup
Unless the phase of the GK pickup and the pickup of the
guitar are matched, they will partially cancel each other out
when they are mixed, adversely affecting the tone or volume.

Make sure you're in Play page.
If you're not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.

Press [F6] (SYSTEM).
3.
Press [F1] (DRIVER).
4.
Press [F5] (GT PU PHASE).

While playing String 6, turn [VALUE] and select the
position that does not cause the volume of the low-
frequency range to diminish significantly.
NORMAL: The phase will remain unchanged.
INVERSE: The phase will be inverted.

Playing the VG-88 (adjusting the output level)

■ Selecting the connected equipment

Select the type of equipment that is connected to the VG-88.
* If you have connected a guitar amp, refer to "About the
OUTPUT jack" (p. 15).

Press [OUTPUT SELECT] to select the output device.
* While the OUTPUT SELECT screen is displayed, you can
also rotate [VALUE] to select this.

■ Name the GK pickup settings

Make sure you're in Play page.
If you're not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.

Press [F6] (SYSTEM).

Press [F1] (DRIVER).
4.
Press [F1] (SETTING). Select the SETTING item that you
wish to set.
5.
Use [CURSOR
] to move the cursor to the name of the
settings.

Use [F1] – [F6] and [VALUE] to assign a name.
[F1] (
) : Return the cursor to the left.
[F2] (
) : Advance the cursor to the right.
[F3] (
) : Advance the cursor to the end.
[F4] (SPACE): A space will be inserted at the cursor
location, and the cursor will move one space to the right.
[F5] (DELETE): Delete a character and move the
subsequent text forward.
[F6] (A, a, 1, ■): Switch between inputting "uppercase
characters," "lowercase characters," "numerals," and
"symbols."
* Press [CURSOR
] several times to return to the previous
page.
GUITAR AMP:
If you have connected the VG-88 to the guitar input
jack (INPUT) of a guitar amp
COMBO:
Combo type (single unit containing amp and speaker)
STACK:
Stack type (amp and speaker are separate)
POWER AMP+SP/RETURN:
If you have connected the VG-88 to the RETURN jack
or MAIN IN jack of a guitar amp
COMBO:
Combo type (single unit containing amp and speaker)
STACK:
Stack type (amp and speaker are separate)
LINE/PHONES:
If you have connected the VG-88 to a mixer or MTR
(multitrack recorder), or are using headphones
