Note
"First accessed Tag"
The first transponder to be processed is always displayed. If more than one transponder was
processed in the input box, the list of the EPC IDs of all processed transponders can be
seen in "Output". If there is only one transponder that was processed in the input box, this is
displayed.
Note
Increasing the power setting if reading the tag IDs is unsuccessful
"Read Boost" and "Write Boost" are only added to the power setting, see "RSSI" or "Power
Ramp" tabs. If you want to improve recognition of transponders, increase the power
"Distance limiting (Power)" in one of the tabs"RSSI", "Power Ramp" or "Parameter".
When the maximum possible power setting of a reader has been reached, "Read Boost" or
"Write Boost" no cause an increase in power.
If reading out or writing to a transponder fails, you can increase the power. Click the
"Change" button. In the dialog box that opens, specify the number of 1/4 dB steps by which
you want to increase the power. Changes in the "Read Boost" input box increase the power
when reading data. Changes in the "Write Boost" input box increase the power when writing
data.
Note
Effect of "Read Boost"
"Read Boost" is only effective with "Read Data" and otherwise it is not effective, for example
with "Read Tag ID".
