Safety instructions
The road traffic regulations apply in every case. Destinations may only be entered when the vehicle
is at a standstill.
The navigation system is only a guide; the data/specifications may be wrong in individual situations.
Users must decide for themselves in each situation whether to follow the specifications. Liability for
incorrect information provided by the navigation system is excluded. Due to changes in traffic routing
or varying data, the situation may occur where inaccurate or incorrect instructions are issued. The
specific traffic signs and controls should therefore always be followed. In particular, the navigation
system cannot be used as an orientation guide when visibility is poor.
The device may only be employed for its designated use. The volume of the navigation device
should be set at a level such that ambient noises can still clearly be heard.
In the event of a fault (e.g. smoke or odour emitted), the device must be switched off immediately.
For safety reasons, the device may only be opened by a qualified expert. Please contact your retailer
if a repair is required.
The mains voltages specified on the plug-in power supply and the device must not be exceeded.
Failure to follow this instruction may result in destruction of the device, the charger and explosion of
the battery.
The device and the battery must not be opened under any circumstances.
Only use Blaupunkt original accessories. You will then be certain that all of the relevant provisions
are complied with and any damage to health or property is avoided. Dispose of unserviceable
devices or the battery in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
Inappropriate use will void any warranty! These safety instructions also apply to the Blaupunkt
original accessories.
The battery must not be taken apart, pierced or damaged in any other way.
The user must check whether the device is suitable for the intended application and connection.
The user accepts all risks associated with using and installing the device.
Baros GmbH shall not be liable for any injuries, losses, damage or consequential damage caused by
modifications made to the device and accessories, inappropriate installation, operating errors, road
traffic hazards and accidents.
The device is only allowed to be operated at temperatures from -10°C – 60°C. The store temperature
is from -20°C - 70°C.
The device must not be exposed to extreme temperatures and should only be operated and stored in
an atmospheric humidity of from 0% to 90%.
The device should also not be exposed to sudden sharp temperature fluctuations. This could result
in condensation collecting in the device, which could damage it. If condensation forms, the device
should only be operated again once it has completely dried out.
The device is waterproof in accordance with the IPX5 standard. This means that the device is
protected against splashing.
Please note: In order to guarantee that the device is protected from the ingress of water, it
should be ensured that the rubber cover for the USB port on the bottom of the device is
completely closed.
The product must not be placed, stored or left in or next to heat sources, at places which have high
temperatures or a high level of solar radiation, in a microwave oven or pressurised container, and it
must also not be exposed to any temperatures of over 70ºC (158ºF). Only Blaupunkt original
accessories or Blaupunkt-approved chargers may be used. The use of other components may result
in malfunctions and/or serious damage.

This navigation device for outdoor use is merely an orientation and navigation aid which cannot
be a substitute for making a sensible assessment of the situation you are in. In any event the
particular characteristics of the terrain and the routes you are using must be considered. Do not
follow any routes or suggested routes which would entail a dangerous or illegal form of riding or
would place you in a dangerous situation.

The road traffic regulations must be complied with at all times, for example when cycling, and
have priority over the routes of the navigation device.
