The cells marked by "" indicate the available characteristics (which are explained below) for the Voice.
• Stereo Sampling: Stereo sampling is used for the Voice.
• Touch Sensitivity: The volume responds to your playing strength.
• Key-off Sampling: The key-off sound (the subtle sound that occurs when you release a key) is sampled for
the Voice.
• VRM: Simulated string resonance sound with physical modeling when the damper pedal is pressed or keys
are pressed. This can be turned on or off. For details, refer to page 44.

Description
Yamaha's CFX concert grand piano sound
sampled by Binaural Sampling, the method
optimized for headphone use. Listening this
through headphones gives the impression of
being immersed in the sound, as if it was
actually emanating from the piano. This is
available when the Binaural setting is turned on
(page 44).
Yamaha's CFX concert grand piano sound with
a wide dynamic range for maximum expressive
control. Suitable for playing in any music genre
and style. This is available when the Binaural
setting is turned off (page 44).
The famed sound of the Vienna-made
Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand piano. Its
spacious sound evokes the size of the
instrument, and is ideal for expressing
tenderness in compositions.
The sound sampled from an upright piano, the
Yamaha SU7. Enjoy the unique tonal character
and a lighter, more casual feel.
A slightly brighter piano sound. Good for popular
styles.
Grand piano sound with a soft and warm tone.
Good for playing ballads.
The sound of an electric piano using hammer-
struck metallic "tines." A soft tone results when
played lightly, and an aggressive tone when
played hard.
