system
Secure the filter vent combination with the integrated shut-off valve and retainer to the
positions provided for this. In doing this, the oil hose should be a max. of 90 cm outside
of the housing during rear wall implementation. The filter vent combinations must be
freely accessible once installed.
Only use filter inserts made of sintered plastic with 25-40 μm to
Note
prevent contamination of the oil nozzle within the service interval.
Contaminated oil nozzles lead to the boiler failing.
The system must be connected as a single line system. A filter/air vent valve combination
with an integrated shut-off valve from the Wolf product range must be installed.
Older two-line systems must be converted to single line systems. Two-
Note
line systems lead to accelerated oil ageing and the penetration of air
into the oil. They are no longer in line with the latest technology.
Only materials that are suitable for oil lines should be used. In the case
of copper pipes, only metallic compression fitting olives with support
sleeves are permissible. They are a reliable means of preventing air intake.
In accordance with TRÖl, the oil supply shall be checked for its perfect
condition and proper installation and a final tightness check shall be carried out.
This inspection shall be performed:
Before commissioning
For underground oil lines, before they are covered and
after work on the oil lines (except for oil filter changes)
In order to prevent damage to the oil pump, the fuel oil must be supplied
Note
to the filter using a suitable manual pump.
The temperature must not fall below +5 °C. External tanks must have
supplementary heating facilities. The oil lines must be installed while
the system is isolated from the electrical supply in order to avoid leaks.
Contaminants can lead to system damage. The oil line must be flushed
prior to commissioning.
The maximum possible suction line length results from the pressure losses on the
pipes and fittings and the inlet height. All vertical and horizontal pipes are identified as
line lengths.
The following table can be used for sizing. When sizing the line lengths, the filter, non-
return valve and six 90° bend resistances are already taken into account.
Installing suction lines of a max. of 40 m is recommended.
The maximum permitted negative pressure in the suction line is 0.3 bar.

Floating or raised suction shall be used, if permitted.
Floating suction is not permitted for underground oil tanks or for oil tanks for which a
special draw-off device is prescribed by the manufacturer.
Oil lines that are too large may lead to operating faults caused by trapped air. The oil
supply must therefore be designed with an interior line diameter of 4 mm.
