None
Use for normal recording. The shutter speed is set to
1/60 second.
SPORTS
Use to record fast moving action with less blurring
when you plan on playing back the recording on a
VCR using special effects, such as pause and slow
motion. Shutter speed is automatically selected
between 1/60 and 1/250 second.
PORTRAIT
Use to record a still subject – such as a person or
flower, when zooming in, or when there is something
between the camcorder and subject. Reduces depth-
of-field so background becomes blurry while subject
remains clearly focused. Focus is locked in auto.
HSS
Use outdoors and in well-lit situations to record fast-
moving action with less blurring when you plan on
playing back the recording on a VCR using special
effects, such as pause and slow motion. Can capture
faster action than sports mode. Shutter speed is
automatically selected between 1/250 and 1/1000
second.
