5.4. MACHINE ASSEMBLY
FITTING THE STEERING WHEEL
Coloque la máquina sobre una superfi cie plana y
alinee las ruedas delanteras.
1) Fit the steering wheel column extension (fi g 5 part 1)
on the shaft (part 3) and secure it with the screw
(part 2) and the nut provided. Tighten well.
2) Place the wheel (fi g. 6 part 1) on the extension
(part 3) and fi x it with the screw (fi g. 6 part 2) and
nut provided. Securely tighten.
FITTING THE CASING
1) Remove the 6 screws (fi g 7) to separate the two
half-shells of the casing.
2) Position the rear half-shell and make the screw
fastening holes (fi g 10 part 1) coincide.
3) Connect the two plugs (fi g 9 part 1-2).
4) Position the front half-shell and make the screw
fastening holes (fi g 10 part 1) coincide.
5) Reposition and tighten the 6 screws (fi g 11).
FITTING THE SEAT
1) Fit the seat (fi g 12 part 1) on the deck, with the
screws (fi g 12 part 2).
2) Before tightening the 4 screws (fi g 13 part 1)
adjust the forward/backward position of the seat,
to best suit the driver.
CFITTING THE BAG-HOOK SPRING
1) Loosen the screws (fi g 14 part 1) and remove the
rear cover by pressing from inside.
2) Cut the plastic straps (fi g 15 part 1) to free the
hook and spring.
3) Secure the two spring hooks (fi g 16 part 1) in the
two holes indicated by the arrows (fi g 16).
4) Reposition the cover by pressing with your hands
and securing with the screws (fi g 17 part 1).
FITTING THE GRASS COLLECTION BAG
The bag frame (fi g 18 part 1) is pre-assembled and
the screws and nuts for complete fi tting are secured
at the points indicated by the arrows in fi g 18.
1) Loosen the screws and nuts so as to be able to
open and fasten the frame (fi g 19).
2) Tighten all the screws and the nuts of the frame
3) Fit the frame inside the bag (fi g 20 part 1).
4) Secure all the plastic profi les (fi g 21) to the frame
tubes, with the aid of a screwdriver (fi g 22).
5) Fasten the handle (fi g 23 part 1) to the bag frame,
using the screws provided (fi g 23 part 2).
6) Fit the bag overturning lever in the housing
provided as shown in fi g 24, after removing the
screw and locknut (fi g 25 part 1).
7) Fasten the rod with the screw and nut (fi g 25 part
1) once positioned.
8) Secure the bag to the machine (fi g 26).
PREPARING AND FITTING THE BATTERY
IMPORTANT: The battery is housed in a box (fi g
3 part 10) together with the bottle of electrolytic fl uid,
pre-dosed separately for 6 elements.
HAZARD: FILLING SYSTEM: Before fi lling the
battery, carefully read the following instructions
relating to "how add electrolytic fl uid".
The electrolytic fl uid is a solution of
sulphuric acid.
HAZARD: Sulphuric acid is poisonous
HAZARD: Sulphuric acid is corrosive
Sulphuric acid can cause blindness or
severe burns.
