Problem
The handset stops working or
works poorly during a call.
The call is too noisy.
The TAD does not answer
calls.
The TAD does not record call-
ers' messages.
The handset's display flashes
slowly when it is on the base
and/or the CHARGE indicator
flashes every few seconds.
Error
appears on the display
instead of a Caller ID record.
If you still have problems, disconnect the phone. If other phones on the same line
work properly, the fault is in this phone or its installation. If you cannot find the prob-
lem, take your phone to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
Suggestion
Move the handset closer to the base.
Lift the base's antenna to a vertical position.
Be sure the battery pack is charged. (If the bat-
tery power is too low, it does not have enough
power to light the display.)
If the base loses power while the handset is
away, the security access-protection code
might change. Restore power to the base, then
place the handset back on the base. The
CHARGE indicator lights, indicating that the
code is set again.
Check the charging contacts on the handset
and base. If they are dirty, clean them with a
pencil eraser.
Hang up and redial the number.
Make sure the TAD is turned on.
Make sure the AC adapter and battery pack are
properly connected.
Check all phone line connections.
