Before connecting up the lawn mower to the electric
power supply, make sure that the mains supply voltage
is 230V/50Hz and being suitable for use only in premises

INSTRUCTION FOR USE [F6]
Mowing tips [F6]
CAUTION! Before starting work, make
sure that the area to be cut is free of
stones, debris, wires and any other
objects.
Make sure all fasteners (screws, nuts, etc.) are
always fully tightened so that you can work safely with
the appliance.
Check the grass catcher for wear and tear at
regular intervals.
Always operate with the deflector (10) or grass
catcher (9) in the correct position.
Select the working depth depending upon the state
of the lawn and the actual height of the grass.
High grass should be cut in layers, always beginning
from the top. The recommended cutting depth of one go
is 4 cm maximum.
To start the appliance, the cutting device must be
completely free to move.
Do not cut damp or wet grass. Dry grass will give
excellent results.
Always let the cutting blade (25) rotate at top speed;
do not work in such a way as to overload the appliance.
Never pass the appliance over the extension cable
while it is running; make sure it is always in a safe
position behind your back. Place the extension cord
safely on a path or the area already mowed.
Guide the appliance forward slowly from the
beginning, pay attention to the cutting speed; when
notice the cutting speed is dropping or even the motor
stops, the wrong moving speed or cutting depth has
been selected.
Empty the grass catcher (9) once it is full in order to
prevent the blade (25) from becoming clogged and the
motor from being overload.
Blade (25) [F7]
Worn blade (25) invites poor performance and
overload of motor.
Check the blade (25) before each use. Sharpen it
frequently (with a grind wheel) or replace the blade (25)
with a new one when necessary.
It is recommended to do this by a specialist.
Ensure that it is always balanced (an unbalanced
blade (25) will cause dangerous vibrations). To check
for balance, insert a round rod through the central hole
and support the blade (25) horizontally. A balanced
blade (25) will remain horizontal. If the blade (25) is
not balanced the heavy end will rotate downwards.
Reshape the heavy end until the blade (25) is currently
balanced.
CAUTION! Disconnect the mains and
wear protective gloves.
To disassemble the blade (25):
Hold the blade (25) with a gardening glove (not
included) so that it could not rotate while unscrewing
the blade fixing screw (26) by turning anti-clockwise the
spanner.
Check the condition of the fan (27), and replace any
parts, which are damaged.
If necessary, take the blade (25) out and replace it
with a new one.
The blade fixing screw (26) must be torque to
15Nm.
When reassembling, make sure that the cutting
edges face in the direction of the motor rotation.
