Test function and judgment criteria
Check that the sine wave of 440 Hz ± 0.2 Hz sounds at the level of specification (DAC
input full bit -12 dB). (PAN = Center)
Connect the frequency counter to the [PHONES] jack for measurement.
When the test item is ended with the [DEMO] button, the sound stops.
Check that the sine wave of 1 kHz sounds at the level specified below (DAC input full bit
-12 dB). (PAN = R)
Connect the level meter (with JIS-C filter) to each output jack for measurement.
PHONES L: -44 dBu or less
AUX OUT L: -61 dBu or less
When the test item is ended with the [DEMO] button, the sound stops.
* When a [PHONES] plug is connected, no sound will be played from the speakers.
Check that the sine wave of 1 kHz sounds at the level specified below (DAC input full bit
-12dB). (PAN = L)
Connect the level meter (with JIS-C filter) to each output jack for measurement.
PHONES L: -4.0 dBu ± 2 dB
AUX OUT L: -6.0 dBu ± 2 dB
When the test item is ended with the [DEMO] button, the sound stops.
* When a [PHONES] plug is connected, no sound will be played from the speakers.
Check that the sine wave of about 65.4 Hz (C1) sounds at the level specified below (DAC
input full bit -12dB). (PAN = Center)
Connect a level meter (with JIS-C Filter) to CN6 of the MAEQ circuit board for
measurement.
MAEQ circuit board *CN6 (1-2, 3-4): + 12.0 dBu ± 2 dB
Dummy resistance: 4 Ω (L ch/R ch)
When the test item is ended with the [DEMO] button, the sound stops.
Check that the sine wave of about 523 Hz (C4) sounds at the level specified below (DAC
input full bit -12dB). (PAN = Center)
Connect a level meter (with JIS-C Filter) to CN6 of the MAEQ circuit board for
measurement.
MAEQ circuit board *CN6 (1-2, 3-4): + 11.5 dBu ± 2 dB
Dummy resistance: 4 Ω (L ch/R ch)
When the test item is ended with the [DEMO] button, the sound stops
Check that the sine wave of about 4186 Hz (C7) sounds at the level specified below
(DAC input full bit -12dB).
Press switches one at a time in the order as in Table 2 (p.38). The sine wave sounds at the
scale corresponding to each switch being pressed (Refer to Table 2 in p.38.). When a
switch is being pressed, the switch LED will light.
Check that all switches are pressed correctly, resulting in OK.
Pressing a switch other than specified ones results in NG.
When the pressed switch is not detected even though it is actually pressed, no sound is
produced and the test results in NG.
For the OK test result, the sine wave of C4 sounds (for 1 second).
For NG, the sine wave of C2 sounds (continuously until any key is pressed).
All LEDs should light up.
