It is recommended that everyone who uses this product should read this
1.
The cutting blades on the ice augers are razor sharp. Use extreme care when handling.
2. Use caution when removing or replacing blade guard.
3. Use caution when replacing auger blades.
4. Always keep blade guard on auger except when in use.
5. The use of this auger by children is not recommended.
6. After use, the auger blades should be wiped dry and oiled to extend auger life.
7. The manufacturer recommends that all StrikeMaster
8. CHECK BLADE SCREWS BEFORE AND AFTER EACH USE TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT.
Best results can be obtained by exerting firm pressure downward. The auger is designed to "Shave" the ice,
therefore minimum force should be required to operate providing the blades are sharp and in good condition.
When cutting old holes use light pressure on the auger to prevent excess drag. Should some difficulty be
encountered, try tipping the auger a few degrees to one side to change the angle of attack. Cutting can be made
easier by penetrating just a few inches and then cleaning the hole of chips before cutting further.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORCE AUGER TO CUT
If auger does not "Bite" on contact with the ice, check for dull or damaged blades.
