Back lighting
The back lighting of the display is switched on at full strength when the measuring tool
is switched on. If no laser beam is detected and there is no operator input for 2 min-
utes, the back lighting is reduced by 50 %.
The back lighting can be switched off if you press the button for selecting the measur-
ing accuracy 2 and the audio signal button 4 simultaneously for at least 2 seconds.
Working Advice
Marking
When the laser beam runs through the center of the reception area 5, its height can
be marked at the centre mark 11 right and left on the measuring tool.
When marking, take care to align the measuring tool exactly vertical (for horizontal
laser beam), or horizontal (for vertical laser beam), as otherwise the marks are offset
with respect to the laser beam.
Attaching with the Magnet (see figure B)
When a positive-lock attachment is not absolutely required, the measuring tool can be
attached to steel parts via the the magnets 7.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Keep the measuring tool clean at all times.
Do not immerse the measuring tool in water or other fluids.
Wipe off debris using a moist and soft cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
