INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT

FUEL UNE AND FUEL STRAINER

Turn the fuel valve OFF and remove the strainer
cup, 0-ring and filter screen from the fuel valve
body.
Wash the strainer cup and filter screen in high flash
point solvent.
Install the filter screen and 0-ring and tighten the
strainer cup.
TORQUE: 3-5 N.m (0.3-0.5 kg-m, 2.2-3.6 ft-lb)
Do not overtighten the strainer cup,
After installing, turn the fuel valve ON and check
that there are no oil leaks.

THROTTLE OPERATION

Check for smooth throttle grip full opening and
automatic full closing in all steering positions.
Check the th rattle cables and replace if deteriorated,
kinked or damaged.
Lubricate the throttle cable (Page 2-9) if throttle
operation is not smooth.
Measure throttle grip free P,lay at the throttle grip
flange.
FREEPLAY: 2-6 mm (1/8-1/4 in)
