REAR WHEEL/BRAKE/SUSPENSION

REAR BRAKE SHOE REPLACEMENT

Remove the brake shoes.
Replace the brake shoes with new ones.

BRAKE CAM DISASSEMBLY

Remove the brake arm.
Remove the indicator plate.
Remove the brake cam.
Remove the felt ring.
Clean the shoe contacting faces of the brake cam.

BRAKE PANEL ASSEMBLY

Install the felt ring and wear indicator plate.
NOTE
Align the flat on the cam with the flat on the
wear indicator plate.
I nstal I the brake arm.
NOTE
Align the punch mark on the brake cam with

the punch mark on the brake arm.
Tighten the brake arm bolt to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 8-12 N.m (0.8-1.2 kg-m,
6-9 ft-lb)
Install the brake panel on the rear wheel.
