Chapter 4 AMI BIOS Setup
Description/Purpose
Configures SATA as following:
IDE Mode
AHCI Mode allows to take advantage of
Advanced Host Controller Interface
features such as NCQ (Native Command
Queuing), Hot plug, etc., without the
option to use RAID.
RAID Mode enables RAID (Redundant
Array of Inexpensive Disks) which may
require to install the RAID driver during
OS installation.
