  • Page 7 1.1 Overview One computer running CA Server can connect to up to 4 PBXs at the same time. In the example above, PBX 2 and PBX 3 are both connected to one computer running CA Server. A One-look network requires only a single connection when connecting to CA Server.

    1.2 CA Web Manager Features 1.2 CA Web Manager Features All CA Server functions are controlled through CA Web Manager, a client program that can be accessed by a networked computer’s Web browser once CA Server is installed.     Input the Exchange Server user account of the administrator. Format: [user name]@[domain name] Example: If the administrator's user account name is "admin", and the domain for the Exchange server is "test.panasonic.com", enter "admin@test.panasonic.com". • Exchange administrator password Enter keywords and select associated presences from the drop-down list.

    4.1 Installing CA Server 4 Starting CA Server 4.1 Installing CA Server Double-click the setup program according to your operating system configuration: • 32-bit version: Setup(World).exe • 64-bit version: Setup64(World).exe Follow the on-screen guidance to install CA Server. Notice CA Server installs a Web server program onto the computer. If another Web server program is already installed on the computer, it may cause a conflict with CA Server.

  • Page 18 4.1 Installing CA Server From the server selection window, click to connect to the PBX. You can also edit the settings of another server. Once a server connection is active, you can click to stop it if necessary. CA Server Status Once CA Server is running and started on your computer, an icon will appear on the computer’s task tray: : CA Server is connected to the PBX and running.
  • Page 19 Allow CA Server to run until the specified time has passed and a backup file will be saved in the location specified in Backup to. The default location is: "C:\Program Files\Panasonic\Communication Assistant\CA Server\Database\Backup". The backup file is saved with the file name "CAServerDatabase_Backup_yyyymmddhhmm.db". Copy this file to the computer running the latest version of CA Server.

    4.2 Starting CA Web Manager Log in to CA Web Manager for a server set in step 4. Navigate to Restore Database, select Specified backup database file, and specify the location of the backup file created in step 1. Once the file is specified, click OK to restore and upgrade the database to use with the latest version of CA Server.

If a server connection is not active, click to start it before logging in. • Depending how you access CA Web Manager, on the login screen you may need to specify which CA Server (1 through 4, as in the server selection window) to log in to.
