WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHERS

With the "ENGINE" switch in the "IG-ON" mode:
Front wiper
a ) Push the lever toward you and check that washer fl uid
squirts onto the proper area of the windshield and that
wipers are activated. Wipers will make one additional
pass after a 3-second delay.
b ) Check wiper speed operation on mist, low and high
cycles. Check that the wiper blades wipe off the washer
fl uid cleanly.

c ) The wipers should not make any abnormal noise when
operating.
d ) With the wiper switch lever in the "AUTO" position,
splash the water on the windshield around the
windshield sensor and check that the wipers operate.
NOTE:
• The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted by
turning the knob.
• Add washer fl uid up to the proper level.
Rear wiper
a ) Twist the knob at the end of the lever and check that
washer fl uid squirts onto the proper area of the glass.
b ) Check wiper speed operation on intermittent and normal
cycles. Check that the wiper blade wipes off the washer
fl uid cleanly.

c ) The wiper should not make any abnormal noise when
operating.
