G. Device Security Options

1.
Access Management System Kit-A1
• Enables the administrator to restrict the functions of the device that
each user can access
• Also allows user to restrict features within each function
• Provides enhanced security and greater device control
• LMS Activated
2.
HDD Data Erase Kit-A1
When the HDD Erase Kit-A1 is enabled, data is automatically and
completely erased when deleted from the hard disk. This is to ensure
that no trace of data remains on the hard disk. One of the following three
methods can be used to erase data from the hard disk: Overwrite Null
Data One Time, Overwrite Random Data One Time, or Overwrite
Random Data Three Times.
The following data is completely erased from the hard disk:
• Image data created when copying, printing, scanning and faxing
• Image data that remained after you deleted a document in an inbox
• Spooled data
• User information such as address book data after you delete
Notes:
• Do not use the machine while data is being erased from the hard disk.
It may take some time until the machine becomes ready to scan once
the data is completely erased.
• The performance of the machine may degrade when processing jobs.
• The Overwrite Null Data One Time method is set by default when the
HDD Data Erase Kit-A1 is activated.
