Advanced Box

Advanced Box is a storage area in the machine that stores scanned
documents and Microsoft Office files to be used on your computer.
There are two types of storage in the Advanced Box: the Shared Space
and the Personal Space.
The Advanced Box can be opened to the public as an SMB (Server
Message Block) server or WebDAV (Distributed Authoring and
Versioning) server. The Advanced Box can be accessed from a
Personal Computer (PC) to move files from the PC to the machine or
vice-versa.
Note: End-users can store and share native files in the Advanced Box,
however, only PDF, TIFF, and JPG files can be printed directly from the
Advanced BOX. All other native files cannot be printed.
IMPORTANT
It is strongly recommended to protect the Advanced Box from viruses. If
the end-user has an antivirus system in place, the Advanced Box
folders should be added to its list of folders to scan and protect.
In addition, it is highly recommended that end-user customers install the
HDD Encryption & Mirroring Kit-B1 and have security systems and a
back up plan available for data and data storage. Critical data, such as
Inbox and Address Book content on the machine's hard drive must be
backed up periodically. Similarly, data stored on a hard drive and on the
Advanced Box must be secured.
For more information on backing up data, refer to the Getting Started
Guide, Chapter 1, and "Before You Start Using This Machine".
