The following table contains the steps for mounting your iR1200 data modem in a
vehicle.
1 Determine a convenient location in the vehicle – either on the
transmission bump or under the dashboard. If mounting the iR1200
modem on the transmission bump, ensure that the transmission
housing is not affected.
2 Use the mounting template or the iR1200 mounting bracket to mark
the positions of the holes on the mounting surface.
3 Mark the holes on the location for the mounting.
4 Drill the holes in the marked location.
5 Mount the unit using the #10 sheet metal screws.

Antenna Mounting

Regardless of whether the modem is installed inside a vehicle or building, the best
location for mounting the antenna is in the center of a large, flat surface.

instructions.
