ERROR MESSAGE
Replace PF Kit2 It is time to replace the PF kit2.
Size Error Tray2 The wrong size of paper is set in
the printer driver for tray2.
Stacker Full The output tray is full of paper.
Toner Empty X The toner is used up and printing
is not possible.
X = C, M, Y, BK,
Toner Error The machine has detected an
incompatible toner cartridge.
Toner Low X The indicated color toner is nearly
X = C, M, Y, BK (K: empty.
Black, C: Cyan, M:
Magenta, Y: Yellow)
Unable to Init. The machine has a mechanical
(Initialize) problem.
Unable to Print
Unable to Scan
Waste Toner Full The waste toner pack is full.
Check Paper Type Paper type mismatch between the
machine and the printer driver
setting.
Calibrate Toner is getting low.

ACTION
Call Brother customer service to
replace the PF kit2.
In the printer driver, specify the
corrrect paper size for Tray2.
Remove the paper from the output tray.
Replace the used toner cartridge with a
new one.
Use only Brother genuine toner
cartridges.
Order a new toner cartridge now.
Turn off the machine's power switch
and then on again. If the error message
continues leave the machine for several
minutes and then try it again.
(The machine can be turned off for up
to 60 hours without losing faxes stored
in the memory. If the machine will be
off longer than 60 hours, you can save
the faxes in your PC.
Replace the waste toner pack.
Put the correct paper type in Tray #1
(or Tray #2 if you have the optional
lower tray) and set it using the
machine's control panel
(Menu/Set, 1, 2).

Transparencies,
Thick paper,
Thicker paper,
Thin paper
Recycled paper
Check that the toner cartridges are not
low and try again.
