Carrying tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in tools that have the switch ON invites accidents.

293741 - 09-30-01.qxd 2/13/02 VARIABLE SPEED Speed is adjusted two ways: With switch (A) Fig. 4, in the locked ON position use thumbwheel (C) Fig. 5, to adjust the speed (approximately 1000 RPM to 3000 RPM). Switch (A) Fig. 4, can also be used to adjust the speed, 0 RPM to approximately 3000 RPM, with maximum speed depending on the position of thumbwheel (C) Fig. -

At approximately 100 hours of use, take or send your tool to your nearest Authorized Porter-Cable Service Station to be thoroughly cleaned and inspected; worn parts replaced, when necessary; relubricated with fresh lubricant, if required; reassembled with new brushes; and performance tested. -
