Periodic checks

To prolong the service life of the
dishwasher, it should should be
serviced after every 750 hours of
operation, or at least once a year by
Miele Service.
This maintenance will cover the
following:
– Electrical safety according to national
regulations (VDE 0701/0702 in
Germany)
– Door mechanism and door seal
– Any screw connections and
connectors in the wash cabinet
– Water inlet and drainage
– Internal and external dispensing
systems
– Spray arms
– Filter combination
– Sump including drain pump and non-
return valve
– All baskets and inserts
The following operational tests will be
carried out as part of the maintenance:
– A programme will be run as a test run
– Seals will be tested for water
tightness
– All relevant measuring systems will
be safety tested, including fault

– Safety features

All surfaces are susceptible to
scratching.
Contact with unsuitable cleaning
agents can alter or discolour the
external surfaces.

Cleaning the wash cabinet

The wash cabinet is largely self-
cleaning, provided that the correct
amount of detergent is always used.
If, despite this, limescale or grease
deposits accumulate in the cabinet,
these can be removed with a
proprietary dishwasher cleaner
(available from Miele).
Washing at low temperatures can allow
germs and odours to build up inside the
machine. To prevent this, run an
intensive programme with detergent
after approx. 20 programme cycles at
low temperatures.
Cleaning the door and the door
seal
 Wipe the door seal regularly with a
damp cloth to remove food deposits.
 When the dishwasher is being
loaded, food and drink residues may
drip onto the sides of the dishwasher
door.These surfaces are outside the
wash cabinet and are not accessed
by water from the spray arms. Any
soiling should be wiped off these
surfaces before the door is closed.
