Set Up
The LS 1220 can be triggered either by a software
trigger command, or by an external switch. Available
from Symbol is a photo detector (p/n 50-13700-025), a
push button switch (p/n 25-04950-01) and a foot switch
(p/n 25-04951-02). If your LS 1220 came without a host
cable, or if you are constructing you own external
triggering switch, consult the LS 1220 Product
Reference Guide.
To connect your LS 1220:
• Plug the 25-pin D-connector into the appropriate
RS-232C port on your host terminal.
• Plug the 9-pin D-connector into the LS 1220.
• If using an external switch, plug it into the female
stereo connector on the flying lead of the 9-pin
D-connector.
• Plug the output cable from the power supply into
the receptacle on the side of the 25-pin D-
connector.
