8 Press the c or d button to select the required rating as
follows, then press the [ or BACK button:

TV Rating – General

• The factory default is "View".

• The default password for a new Plasma Display is 0000.

Press the c or d button to move to System, then press
the \ or OK button.
3 Press the c or d button to move to Parental Control,
then press the \ or OK button.
Enter Password is displayed.

Enter your password by pressing the numeric buttons
(0~9).
5 Select Change Password and press the \ or OK button
to change your password, if necessary.

Enter your new password by pressing the numeric buttons
(0~9), then re-enter to confirm.
• The Parental Control menu is displayed again.
7 Press the c or d button to move to USA Rating, then
press the \ or OK button.
8 Press the c or d button to select TV Rating-Children or
TV Rating-General, then press the \ or OK button.

Press the c or d button to select the content as follows,
then press the \ or OK button.
TV Rating-Children: Age - Fantasy Violence
TV Rating-General: Age - Dialogue - Language - Sex -
Violence
10 Press the c or d button to select the required rating,
then press the [ or BACK button.

Repeat steps 8 to 10, if necessary.

Canadian rating systems
In Canada you can choose the Canadian English ratings or the
Canadian French ratings. These ratings are based on the
Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commis-
sion (CRTC) policy.
Canadian English ratings
Rating Description
C Children: Intended for younger children
under the age of 8 years. Pays careful
attention to themes that could threaten
their sense of security and well-being.
C8+ Children over 8 years old: Contains no
portrayal of violence as the preferred,
acceptable, or only way to resolve
conflict; nor encourage children to
imitate dangerous acts which they may
see on the screen.
G General: Considered acceptable for all
age groups. Appropriate viewing for the
entire family, contains very little
violence, physical, verbal or emotional.
Age-Base PG Parental Guidance: Intended for a
general audience, but may not be
suitable for younger children (under the
age of 8) because it could contain
controversial themes or issues.
14+ Over 14 years: Could contain themes
where violence is one of the dominant
elements of the storyline, but it must be
integral to the development of plot or
character: Language usage could be
profane and nudity present within the
context of the theme.
18+ Adults: Intended for viewers 18 years
and older and might contain depictions
of violence, which while related to the
development of plot, character or
themes, are intended for adult viewing.
Could contain graphic language and
portrayals of sec and nudity.
