: Thread the other end of the rope,
from the outside, through the
guide bushing in the fan housing.
: Thread the new rope through the
hole and pull it out.
– Secure the rope with a simple
overhand knot and pull it back.
– Install the rope rotor –b 8.4
: Push the knot into the recess
(arrow).
– Tension the rope rotor – b 8.5.1

Tensioning

– Remove the fan housing with
rewind starter – b 8.2
– Relieve tension of rewind spring
– b 8.4
: Make a loop in the starter rope.
: Grip the rope next to the rotor and
use it to turn the rope rotor six
times clockwise.
: Hold the rope rotor steady.
: Pull out the rope with the starter
grip and straighten it out.
– Hold the starter grip firmly to keep
the rope tensioned.
– Let go of the rope rotor and
slowly release the starter rope so
that it can rewind properly.
