Remove the air shroud.

Remove the heat sinks.

Remove the cooling fan assembly and replace the standard cooling fans with the high performance cooling fans.

Install the cooling fan assembly.

Unpack the GPU cards and the GPU enablement kit.

Install the heat sinks from the kit and reinstall the air shroud.

NOTE:

Ensure that you install the first GPU card on riser

Steps

Close the PCIe card holder latch on the air shroud and risers.

Lift the expansion card latch.

Remove the filler brackets for the single- or double-wide GPU cards.

Replace the remaining filler brackets with the brackets from the GPU kit.

NOTE:

You must install a filler bracket over an empty expansion card slot to maintain Federal Communications

Commission (FCC) certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper

cooling and airflow inside the system.

NOTE:

The filler bracket is necessary to maintain proper thermal conditions.

Align the GPU card connector with the slot on the riser.

Insert the GPU card into the riser slot until it is fully seated.

Locate the GPU power connectors on the cable and plug them to the six-pin and eight-pin connectors on the GPU card.

Press down on the GPU card lock to secure the card in position.

NOTE:

Ensure that the GPU card is seated into the PCIe card holder latch.

Open the PCIe card holder latch.

NOTE:

Nvidia FF20 and FF30 GPU cards cannot engage with the PCIe card holder latch on riser 2.

For GPU card installed on riser 1, connect the GPU power cable to riser 1.

For GPU cards installed on risers 2 and 3, connect the GPU power cables to the system board.

Close the expansion card latch.
