8. To install the storage converter into the 3.5-inch storage drive bracket, flex the bracket and align pin
pin 2 , pin 3 , and pin

9. Install the storage converter with the bracket into the storage drive bay. See "Primary hard disk drive" on
page 87 or "Secondary hard disk drive" on page 89.
10. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the solid-state drive.

Front fan assembly

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Read
this first: Important safety information" on page iii.
Note: The front fan assembly is only available on some models.
To replace the front fan assembly, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See "Preparing your computer and removing the computer cover" on page 55.
2. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 57.
3. Disconnect the front fan assembly cable from the power fan connector on the system board. See
"Parts on the system board" on page 6.
