• Use the recoil starter when the battery voltage is too low to turn the
starter motor.
a. Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
b. Open the right maintenance cover by turning its latch
counterclockwise.
c. Pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull briskly
in the direction of the arrow as shown below.
