REMOVING STUMPS Remove all loose pieces of wood, stones, wire and other debris from the area before beginning stump removal. Wind direction should be considered, as it influences the direction in which dust and wood chips are directed. Dig away the earth and remove any stones near the tree stump that may interfere with your work.
