to be posted on the pump. If you notice any undesirable
operating symptoms, switch to a conventional unleaded
gasoline.
Fuel
system
problems resulting from the use of an oxygenated fuel
are not the responsibility of IVT and are not covered
under warranty.
NOTICE: oxygenated fuels can damage paint and
plastic. Be careful not to spill fuel when filling your
fuel tank. Damage caused by spilled fuel is not
covered under warranty.
Oil-mixed gasoline [F2]
(GN-750B)
GAS 50 : 1 OIL
1 (L) : 0.025 (L)
2 (L) : 0.050 (L)
3 (L) : 0.075 (L)
4 (L) : 0.100 (L)
Allow approximately ¼ inches (6 mm) of space for
fuel expansion.
Use oil mixed gasoline. If not, the engine will be
overheated.
Gasoline and oil mixed ratio is 50:1. Use special
purpose oil for 2 strokes.
Engine oil [F3]
(GN-2200B;
GN-2700B;
GN-6500B)
NOTICE: engine oil is a major factor affecting engine
performance and service life. Non-detergent and
2-stroke engine oils will damage the engine and are
not recommended.
1.
Check the oil level before each use with the
generator on a level surface with the engine stopped.
2.
Remove the oil filler cap (7) and wipe the dipstick
clean.
3.
Check the oil level by inserting the dipstick into the
filler neck without screwing it in.
4.
If the level is low, fill to the top of the oil filler neck
with the recommended oil.

STARTING THE ENGINE [F4]
1.
Make
sure
all
receptacles are disconnected. The generator may be
hard to start if a load is connected.
2.
Turn the fuel valve (11) to the ON position.
3.
Move the throttle lever (if present) halfway between
SLOW and FAST.
4.
The choke rod (13) will be closed if the engine is
cold. If you operate the choke manually, then move the
choke rod to the CLOSED position.
5.
Start the engine:
(GN-5500B; GN-6500B)
Turn the engine switch (9) to START position
(for max. 5 seconds)
Return the key to the ON position once the
engine has started.
(GN-750B; GN-2200B; GN-2700B; GN-3300B)
Turn
the
engine
position.
Pull
the
recoil
resistance is felt, then pull briskly.
NOTICE: do not allow the starter grip to snap back
against the engine. Return it gently to prevent
damage to the starter or housing.
6.
If you have manually closed the choke rod (13)
move it to the OPEN position as the engine warms up.
7.
Move the throttle lever (if present) to the FAST
position.

STOPPING THE ENGINE

In an emergency:
1.
To stop the engine in an emergency, turn the engine
switch (9) to the OFF position.
In normal use:
1.
Turn the AC circuit breaker (6) to the OFF position.
2.
Disconnect
all
receptacles. Disconnect DC battery charging cables.
3.
Move the throttle lever (if present) to the SLOW
position
4.
Turn the engine switch (9) to the OFF (or STOP)
position.
5.
Turn the fuel valve (11) to the OFF position.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

CAUTION! Before carrying out any
maintenance
the engine and wait until it stops
completely.
