p Using as the portable DVD-ROM drive
You can use this unit as a DVD-ROM drive using with the supplied
SCSI PC card.
You can use this unit without the AC power adapter while using the
optional battery pack.
• Complete the set up uisng "Installing the software" (pages 13 to 19).
• For basic operations, see "Operating a DVD-ROM drive" (pages 20 to

• IBM PC/AT compatible personal computer

AHA-2940AU SCSI board is recommended. Other SCSI boards compatibility
is not guaranteed.)

p Using as the portable DVD player
You can play a DVD VIDEO, VIDEO CD, or audio CD. In addition, you
can enjoy powerful sound when connected to a digital component with
a built-in Dolby Digital decoder when playing DVD VIDEOs with
sound recorded in Dolby Digital (AC-3) format.
When using the optional battery pack, you can play back without the
AC power adapter.
