Battery

The battery used on this model is either a YUASA or FURUKAWA made. Both are same type, 6N4-2A,
and can be interchanged.
Initial charge
The battery is the dry-charged type unlike that of a large capacity battery, however, it must be initially
charged at the specified rate before the battery is put in use since the plates may be oxidized to a certain
extent during storage.

Recharge
To check the battery condition in capacity, measure the specific gravity of the electrolyte by a hydrometer
and refer to the following list.
SPECIFIC GRAVITY at 20
1.250 - 1.280
1.220 - 1.250
Below 1.220
Caution: Be sure to remove the battery from the motorcycle in order to prevent the rectifier from being
damaged due to excessive voltage given when recharging the battery.
