The engine management control unit (MR) is
on the side of the engine.

The engine management control unit (MR)
processes values from the drive control unit
(ADM). These are, for example, the position of
the accelerator pedal sensor, the engine
brake or engine start/stop, etc.
These values are analysed together with data
from the engine sensors. They are compared
with the charts or characteristic curves
stored in the engine management control unit
(MR).
Data from the sensors derives from informa-
tion such as:

Drive control unit (ADM)
The drive control unit (ADM) is installed in a
protected location in the vehicle/device by
the vehicle/device manufacturer. It acts as
an interface between the electric and elec-
tronic components on the vehicle/device
side and the engine management control
module (MR) on the engine side.
The engine can be adapted to the various
operation-specific requirements using the
drive control unit (ADM).
