Problems
The water tank leaks
when it is carried.

The valve at the bottom of
the tank is dirty or defective.

Solutions
Wash the water tank and operate the valve at the
bottom of the tank with your finger.
Descale the appliance (paragraph 9).
Check the position of the tank. If the fault persists,
do not use the appliance, contact an approved
service centre.

Stop the appliance, fill the water tank and turn the
machine back on.
Press down firmly on the tank.

Tighten the filter holder as far as it will go, up to
the stop (fig.7).
Add more espresso ground coffee.
Put the filter holder in place and lock it (by turning
it to the right as far as it will go, up to the stop).
Remove excess coffee.
Place all the paper inside the filter holder.
Clean the seal with a damp cloth.
Contact a Krups approved service centre.
Rinse the device according to the manual (see
paragraph 9).
Try fresher or finer espresso coffee grounds.
