    POWER SUPPLY ___________________________________ Battery operation Open the battery compartment by pressing the areas marked with arrows on the drawing and pushing down the cover. Insert four batteries (4 x 1.5 V Mignon type, LR6/AM3/AA), observing the polarity marked in the battery compartment. Notes: Remove the batteries when they are flat or when you know that the device will not be used for a long period of time.

    SETTINGS ______________________________________________ Setting the clock When you first use the device, you first have to set the clock. With the device switched off, keep pressing »MODE« until the time 1 2 0 0 flashes in the display. Note: If you do not press any button within 5 seconds, the device will quit set-up mode.

    OPERATION __________________________________________ Switching on and off Use »ON/OFF« to switch the device on and off. Radio operation For FM reception pull out the telescopic antenna and tilt it until you receive the best signal. For short wave reception (SW) the antenna should be upright.
