Problem
Starter cable resists pulling.
Engine does not start.
– For lawnmowers with electric
starting devices:
Unusual noises (rattling, clanging,
knocking).
Shaking, vibrations.
Unclean cut or speed is decreasing.

Possible cause(s)
Safety loop has not been
pressed.
Blade is blocked.
Engine defective.
Throttle is not in the right
position.
Lawnmower is standing in long
grass.
No fuel in the tank.
Spark plug terminal not con-
nected.
Fuel old or dirty.
Air filter clogged.
Choke not actuated.
Primer not pressed during cold-
start.
Battery discharged.
Lead damaged.
Fuse defective.
Screws, nuts, or other fasteners
loose.
Cutter(s) loose.
Cutter(s) damaged.
Cutters not balanced correctly.
Engine not secure.
Grass too high.
Operating instructions – Lawnmower with IC engine
Remedy
Press safety loop against the upper
bar.
Remove spark plug connector and
get rid of the blockage.
Contact a specialist garage.
Set throttle to position
(if the engine is cold).
Set throttle to
or START (if the engine is warm).
Place the lawnmower onto a surface
with shorter grass.
Fill tank with clean, fresh fuel.
Connect spark plug terminal.
Replace with new fuel.
Clean air filter.
Actuate the choke.
Actuate primer.
Charge battery with provided battery
charger.
Check whether electric lead OK.
Have defective fuse replaced
by a service centre.
Tighten parts. If the noises persist:
Contact a specialist workshop.
Cutter fastening screw must be tigh-
tened at specialist garage.
Cutters must be replaced at specia-
list garage.
Cutters must be replaced or balan-
ced at specialist garage.
Engine must be secured at specialist
garage.
Set larger cutting height, if necessary
mow twice.
