Engine Oil

1. Change the engine oil. (page
2. Remove the spark plug (see page
54 ), and remove the clip from the
emergency stop switch.
3. Pour a teaspoon (3 5 cm ) of −
clean engine oil into the cylinder.
4. Pull the starter grip several times
to distribute the oil in the cylinder.
5. Reinstall the spark plug.

Store the motor either vertically or
horizontally as follows with the
steering handle folded.

Store the outboard motor in a clean
and dry area.
Before storing, clean, flush and
lubricate the outboard motor as
described on page

CLAMP SCREW
Attach the stern brackets to a
motor stand and tighten the clamp
screws to install the outboard
motor securely.
