DMA TRANSFER MODE
The Ultra DMA and Multi-DMA modes enhance hard disk performance
by increasing the transfer rate.
However, besides enabling these
features in the BIOS Setup, both the Ultra DMA and Multi-DMA modes
require the DMA driver to be loaded. By setting this parameter to
Auto
,
BIOS automatically sets the appropriate DMA mode for your hard disk.
CD-ROM DRIVE DMA MODE
Set this parameter to
Enabled
to enable the DMA mode for the CD-
ROM drive.
This improves the system performance since it allows
direct memory access to the CD-ROM. To deactivate the function, set
the parameter to
Disabled
.
