Using System Passwords
If you set a password, you are prompted for the
new password before starting your computer or
entering Setup.
Disabling or Changing a
System Password
To disable or change a system password:
1. Press Fn+F1 (or F2 during boot) to enter
Setup.
2. Enter your password when prompted.
3. Press the arrow keys to move to
4. Move down the screen to a Password
parameter, then press Enter.
Note: You will only be able to change the User
Password if you used the User password to enter
Setup. You can change both the User Password
and the Supervisor Password if you used the
Supervisor password to enter Setup.
5. Enter a new password to set a new password,
or press Enter with no entries to clear the
password. Verify your entry, then press
Enter.
6. Save the changes then exit Setup.
