8-2 Firmware update
Note : Do not try updating in battery mode.
It should be tried after getting connected to the AC adapter.
Getting power off while updating may cause a whole loss of the OS.
1. How to upgrade the K10 Firmware
I'll send the new software Image.
There are two files (k40_dsp.bin and k40_micom.bin)
1) First, please copy these files to SD Card
2) Turn on the K40
3) Insert the SD/SDHC Card to K40 in Camera EE mode.
4) If the display reads "change to storage card?" press [Left] or [Right} to select "YES" and press [OK]
(SMX-K44/45 Only)
5) The display will read, "Update DSP F/W?" Then select "Yes". Please reference figure 8-8.
6) The update will start and the LCD monitor will like like figure 8-9
7) When the DSP F/W is complete, you will be prompted with a message automatically - select "YES"
when asked "Update MICOM F/W?"
8) "After update is started, the LCD monitor will resemble Fig 8-10 below
