4. Pull your ear back slightly to straighten your
ear canal.
5. Slowly and carefully insert the probe tip with
the infrared sensor
6. Hold the thermometer so that the probe tip is
directly aligned with the eardrum inside your
ear (see fig. B). If possible, always perform the
temperature measurement in the same man-
ner on the same ear.
7. Hold the thermometer steady and then push
the button ( ) ear measurement
A signal tone will indicate that the measure-
ment has started. A signal tone will sound
twice after approx. 2 seconds indicating that
the temperature measurement is complete.
