8. Finally, the LCD indicator appears on the dis-
play for a short time, immediately followed by
a blinking ON. With the MEM button, you can
choose between ON (thermometer stays in
continuously standby mode) and OFF (ther-
mometer automatically switches off approx.
1 minute after the last button activity) and save
the selected setting with the SET button. The
thermometer will then switch to standby mode.
If ON was selected, it will remain in standby
mode continuously. If OFF was selected, it will
always switch off automatically after approx.
1 minute of button inactivity.
If you push the MEM button when setting
the values for the date and time, the next
higher value will be set in each case.
Holding the MEM button down will quickly
cycle through the configurable values.
Releasing the MEM button will leave the
setting at the respective value reached.
If you briefly push both buttons ( )
ear measurement and ( ) forehead mea-
surement at the same time in memory or
configuration mode, the thermometer
will switch back to standby mode and
the time, date and room temperature will
be shown in alternation. It will also au-
tomatically switch to standby mode after
approx. 30 seconds of button inactivity.
